South Heart Railroad Depot

The South Heart Northern Pacific Depot was originally located in the town of South Heart, ND, approximately 10 miles west of Dickinson.

The front half of the depot served as a waiting room and the station agent’s office. The back rooms of the depot were originally where the station agent and family lived. The agent was on-call twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

The depot was donated by Laudie P. Tuhy and was moved to the park in July 1984.
